Hi all, sorry to have taken so long to update the blog. It has been a whirlwind since Tues. Cork racing this year continued to be very "Uncork"like. Light and shifty conditions that even the most experienced sailors had trouble with and along with a very difficult RC made for some very inconsistent race results. Although, Ceci managed to get a 3rd red and Mikey a 4
th blue. We had a great team dinner at the house after racing, how great was that? Shannon brought the most amazing personalized LOOT cake with every sailors name and sail #,which of course each kid ate their own sail. We said goodbye to Sebby,Cameron and GPS(
also known as Declan)-Boohoo. Mikey decided to wrap himself around Cameron's leg and prevent him from going out the door. The girls were team hugging Sebby and I caught a glimpse of a tear or two. We all bemoaned GPS's departure as we needed him to be our GPS to get us to Nova Scotia and keep us all organized! We miss you guys already. We hit the nova scotia trail by 9:30 the next morning and had an uneventful drive, with the exception of roberto's speeding ticket! We arrived at yacht club shortly after 5 yesterday, unloaded, hooked up with jillians dad and went to
Jillian's grandparents cute as a button cottage for a BBQ,swim, hermit crab, lobster and star fish search...along with the some very hilarious two person Btye sailing.
Let's just say they should stick to opti sailing for awhile! I have fAntastic pics to post which I will to post later. The LOOT adventure continues as Barry and Barbara take over the reigns. Measurement and training with ocean sailing today,
Practise race tomorrow and official racing Monday....
CHEERS!
Measurement and getting used to some ocean sailing today, practise race tomorrow and official racing Monday....Cheers!
